Who Are We?
The Direct Selling Management Association of Utah (DSMAutah) was organized in 2005 for the purpose of:
1. Creating and maintaining collaboration among Utah based, direct selling companies, and related businesses and organizations.
2. Achieving a sustainable competitive advantage in financial, technological and operational management, which will lead to economic growth.
The organization is built on the core values of building relationships, sharing ideas, organizing resources, and operating ethically.
Why Should We Collaborate?
A collaborative and supportive community, even among competitors, leads to the flow of resources, which leads to the realization of economies of scale; and to the sharing of information, which leads to collective wisdom. Having all these supports close together is a fundamental advantage of clustering. An Economic Cluster is a geographic concentration of similar or complementary industries that gain performance advantages through proximity and interaction with one another. Research has shown that innovative and economically successful entities tend to gather in close proximity to other people and organizations engaged in similar or complementary pursuits, and to supporting sources of infrastructure that nourish their growth.

Membership in DSMAutah is open to all who are:

A direct selling organization with headquarters in the State of Utah

Employed by a direct selling organization with headquarters in the State of Utah

An employee or owner of an organization that supports or provides services to direct selling organizations operating in the State of Utah.

What Are the Benefits of Membership?
Bi-monthly breakfast meetings afford the opportunity to collaborate and network with leaders from direct selling organizations. At each meeting members hear of new, unique, or innovative concepts. Members are exposed to the experiences and lessons learned from seasoned organizations. Members have access to DSMAutah newsletters and receive information on other DSMAutah sponsored events.
